Big Britches Productions Announces Open Auditions for The Spitfire Grill

A Heartfelt Musical About New Beginnings

Bingen, WA — Big Britches Productions is excited to announce open auditions for The Spitfire Grill, a moving and uplifting musical with music and book by James Valcq and lyrics and book by Fred Alley, based on the film by David Zlotoff. The production will be directed by Joe Garoutte with musical direction by Dan Kenealy.

Audition Dates:

  • Saturday, May 3 - 1:30 – 4:00 PM

  • Monday, May 5 - 6:30 – 9:00 PM

  • Callbacks (if needed): Tuesday, May 6 | 6:30 – 9:00 PM
     

    Location: The Bingen Theater — 210 Oak St, Bingen, WA
    No appointment necessary — open audition.

Set in a small Wisconsin town, The Spitfire Grill follows Percy Talbott, a young woman just out of prison who lands a job at a struggling local diner. When she comes up with the idea to raffle off the grill, it sparks a wave of hope, uncovers old secrets, and brings buried dreams to light. With a beautiful, folk-inspired score and a story about healing, second chances, and finding your place, The Spitfire Grill is a moving and heartfelt journey.
