Happenings & Pop-Ups
Saturday, December 6: Start the day with the Ugly Sweater Fun Run. First race is for kids, no registration fee. Second race is for adults. $20 entry fee.

✨ Winter Wonderland Market – December 6 & 7 White Salmon Masonic Hall  Step into the magic of the holidays at the Winter Wonderland Market, a festive indoor shopping event filled with local makers, handmade gifts, seasonal treats, and cheerful community spirit. This year, we’re excited to partner with The Village Lights in White Salmon, making the whole weekend sparkle with holiday charm!

Browse unique handcrafted goods, art, décor, jewelry, clothing, and more from talented small businesses—all in cozy, beautifully decorated spaces perfect for holiday shopping. Enjoy the Village Lights displays throughout town, then warm up inside the market and find the perfect gifts for everyone on your list.

Shoppers can also take part in our holiday raffle, with all proceeds supporting Fire Riders, a nonprofit dedicated to helping the community.

Festival of Making at Gorge MakerSpace Saturday, December 6
Join the annual Winter Festival of Making, a celebration of creativity, curiosity, and community. Meet local makers, explore hands-on workshops, and support a place that keeps creativity accessible for all. All proceeds help keep the MakerSpace affordable and open to everyone.

Santa Pictures at Ace Hardware Saturday, December 6 | 11-2 PM

Ace will be offering cookies, coloring pages, hot cocoa, and coffee for those waiting in line for their turn to talk to Santa!  Bring your own device if you would like to take a photo!


Oysters & Wine at Ridge of Wonder Saturday, December 6 | 1–4 PM
An afternoon made for savoring: POP Oysters from Portland, paired with the thoughtful wines of Ridge of Wonder, enjoyed at The Inn.

Tree Decorating Party & Toy Drive Launch at LDT Wine
Saturday, December 6 Raise a glass, decorate the community tree, and help kick off a meaningful seasonal tradition—the LDT Wine Toy Drive benefiting The Next Door. Bring a toy to donate or simply join in the glow of good company, wine, and holiday music.

As Village Lights fills our town with sparkle and song, the White Salmon Valley Community Library invites you in for an afternoon of warmth, creativity, and community connection. The Winter Celebration at the Library is a chance to slow down, gather with neighbors, and enjoy the simple joys of the season—together.

Step inside from the crisp winter air and you’ll find refreshments, music, hands-on activities for kids, and a special quilt show that celebrates craft, comfort, and the spirit of making. Whether you’re looking for a wholesome family-friendly outing, a cozy cultural moment, or simply a place to pause during your holiday wanderings downtown, the library is opening its doors—and its heart—to the community.

Tree & Menorah Lighting Saturday, December 6 | 5-5:30 PM Riverview Bank
Community Partners continues their long standing tradition of putting up a tree in the Riverview Bank parking lot on Jewett Blvd. They invite the community to join them in 'blowing' on the lights. The CP Elfs will also have fire pits glowing so you can make your own S'more. (These go fast!)
Encounter Church members once again will provide tables full of homemade cookies to share with the attendees. Thank you to Ryan's Juice Company for donating cider for all of us to enjoy.

Sip the Gorge is an intimate holiday wine tasting and small bites pairing event celebrating the best of the Columbia Gorge AVA at the historic Mountain View Grange. For one day only, 10+ boutique, small-batch wineries will gather under one roof, pouring wines made exclusively from Columbia Gorge AVA grapes.
