Parent/Toddler Class, hosted online by Little Oak Montessori School

We have adapted our beloved Parent Toddler Class to accommodate this year’s circumstances and are ready to support families at a distance! The Parent Toddler Class Online is designed to provide a nurturing experience for parents learning about their child’s development and natural desire to explore the world. Through learning the principles of the prepared Montessori environment, parents are empowered to provide a home experience that fosters independence, concentration, coordination, responsibility, order and respect for their child. At the beginning of each week participants will be sent content for the week which consists of lessons via videos. You will be shown how to create a ‘prepared environment’ so your toddler can thrive and explore their independence. You will also have access to stories and songs that you can use to create rhythm and order to your day. Each Friday we discuss how the week went and explore Montessori topics more deeply while your little one naps. There will also be an optional Parent Toddler Class Facebook Group for participants to receive community connection, feedback from a certified Montessori Guide, and additional resources to support the development of the Montessori way of learning. Toddlers ages 18 to 36 months and their parent/guardian are welcome to enroll. Once you register, you will be sent instructions on how to participate via Zoom.
