COGA presents- Sinfonieta History Exhibit and Opening Celebration

Sinfonietta History Exhibit and Opening Celebration

The Columbia Gorge Orchestra Association (CGOA) is celebrating the 40th anniversary season of the Columbia Gorge Sinfonietta with a museum exhibit and evening celebration. The exhibit, titled “The Columbia Gorge Sinfonietta - Evolution of a Homegrown Orchestra,” is open now through December at the History Museum of Hood River County. The exhibit highlights the people who have brought classical music to life in the Hood River Valley and the Gorge, including Boris Sirpo in the 1940s and ‘50s, Dorothy McCormick, founder of Sinfonietta, and current conductor Mark Steighner.
